Workshop "Reducing gender-based discrimination within police structures in BiH" was held in Konjic

Workshop on the topic "Raising awareness of gender-based discrimination in police structures in BiH" was held in Konjic (26-27 April, 2023), which was attended by police officers from police bodies throughout BiH, assigned to jobs in the middle and higher management level.

The workshop was realized as part of the project "Reducing gender-based discrimination within police structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina", which is implemented by the Association for Aid and Development "HAJDE" in cooperation with the "Policewomen's Network" Association, with the financial support of the Federal Republic of Germany represented by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The goal of the workshop is to familiarize the participants with the basic forms of discrimination, legal regulations and protection mechanisms, as well as with issues of gender equality in the police. Special emphasis was placed on legal regulations and obligations that require institutions to undertake activities with the aim of improving gender equality and combating gender-based discrimination.

The workshop was assessed as useful in multiple ways, and was also used for the exchange of experience and personal examples of the participants, as well as for the mutual networking of colleagues from different police structures.
