Workshop on "Gender sensitive police practice " held for police officers of MOI of Tuzla Canton
Yesterday (November 29, 2018), in Tuzla, a workshop titled "Gender sensitive police practice" was held for police officers of the MOI of Tuzla Canton in the framework of the international campaign of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
The workshop was organized by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the MOI of Tuzla Canton, in cooperation with the "Policewomen's Network" Association.
The realization of this workshop is another indication of the excellent cooperation between the mOI of the Tuzla Canton and the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the partnership with the "Policewomen's Network" Association.
The workshop was assessed as very useful and it was concluded that in the coming period a large number of police officers should be involved in this type of education, since gender-sensitive policing is crucial in carrying out police tasks. It was concluded that the police forces should be able to effectively respond to the security needs of all citizens (men and women, boys and girls).
