Women to women support Policewomen's Network Association
Today (September 6, 2018), at the premises of the Association "Women to women", a meeting was held attended by Memnuna Zvizdić, Mirjana Musić and Sanja Burlović (Women to Women), while in front of the "Policewomen's Network" Association president Kristina Jozić and vice president Lejla Bejtić were present.
The meeting discussed the plans of the association in the following period, with a focus on networking as many policewomen as possible and strengthening the capacity of the association.
The members of the Network presented the plan for the visit of all police agencies in the coming period, during which it is planned to hold workshops in all police bodies from september to december this year, on which the work of the Association and plans for the future will be presented. Policewomen from all police bodies will be able to present their vision of the work of the Association and propose certain activities. The workshops will also be used for the presentation of the conducted research on the topic "Human Rights Defenders in the Police Structures in BiH - Mechanisms of Protection against Discrimination". All policewomen, members and potential members of the Network will be invited to the workshops.
Representatives of the Association "Women to women" pointed out that they give full support to the work of the "Policewomen's Network" in the field of promoting gender equality in police structures in BiH and protection of human rights in general. Some specific problems with which policewomen cope in their work were pointed out, in order to jointly find possible solutions.
We recall that the "Women to Women" Association provided significant support when establishing the "Policewomen's Network" and empowering policewomen when it was most needed.
This meeting is a continuation of many years of successful cooperation, which will continue in the coming period.
