The workshop "Strengthening the Professional Competencies of Policewomen" was successfully completed

The workshop on the topic "Strengthening the professional competencies of policewomen - emotional intelligence, management styles and leadership", was held in Konjic (10-11 October, 2023) in which policewomen from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina took part.

The workshop was realized as part of the project "Reducing gender-based discrimination within police structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina", which is implemented by the Association for Aid and Development "HAJDE" in cooperation with the "Policewomen's Network" Association , with the financial support of the Federal Republic of Germany represented by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

This workshop covered topics related to self-confidence and changing beliefs, communication as the key to success, emotional intelligence, and leadership. On the second day,  feminism and the challenges of women in the security sector were discussed and the importance of networking and helping each other through mentoring.

In the following period, two more workshops on this topic will be held, for a total of about 100 policewomen from 16 laaw enforcement agencies.
