The "Policewomen's Network" Association established a website

As part of the ongoing process of strengthening the capacity of the "Policewomen's Network" Association, today (August 11, 2018), the Association website was launched, which was designed in accordance with the most up-to-date trends with the help of the company "Lampa Studio" from Sarajevo.

The web site enables citizens to easily monitor news and events related to the activities of the Association, facilitate search and access to information, which will contribute to greater visibility of the Association's work in the field of promoting gender equality in police structures in B&H, integrating gender perspectives into all spheres of police work, and protecting integrity of policewomen. The web site will also contribute to informing all members of the Association about current activities and increasing transparency of work, and thereby increasing trust among the members.

On the newly established web site, there is an electronic support form for authorized officials, with special emphasis on providing support and necessary information in cases of suspicion of exposure to discrimination in the workplace, with a focus on discrimination based on gender.

The web site was established within the project implemented by the Association in cooperation with the Foundation for Local Democracy entitled "Staying Secure - Security Network for Human Rights Defenders and Gender-Based Violence Activist in BiH", realized with the financial support of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

We recall that the "Policewomen's Network" Association based in Sarajevo was officially registered at the beginning of 2012 and gathers police officers from 16 police bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, State Investigation and Protection Agency, Border Policeof BiH, Federal Police Administration, Brcko District Police of BiH, ten cantonal ministries of the Interior and the Judicial Police of the Federation of BiH). Currently, the Association has about 300 members.

The special focus of the Associations work is on undertaking activities aimed at increasing the number of policewomen in all police structures generally, especially at senior and managerial positions (decision-making positions), where there are almost none.
