The first meeting of the Working Group to support inter-institutional dialogue and gender analysis on the misuse of small arms and light weapons in BIH

28 and 29. of Nevember 2023, the first meeting of the Working Group to support inter-institutional dialogue and gender analysis on the misuse of small arms and light weapons (SALW) in BiH was held in Tarčin, which was attended by 15 members of the "Policewomen's Network" Association.

The meeting is organized within the framework of the SALW project "Solving the security and safety risks of illegal possession, abuse and trade of small arms and light weapons in BiH" which is carried out by the OSCE Mission in BiH, in cooperation with the Coordination Committee for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons and agencies for law enforcement.

Project activities include the integration of the principles of gender equality in relation to the use of firearms in the commission of serious crimes, domestic violence and gender-based violence.
