The company ZENKO from Zenica donated 500 protective masks for policewomen

The company Zenko d.o.o. Zenica donated 500 pieces of reusable cotton face masks from its own production to the "Policewomen's  Network" Association ", as a support in the fight against the COVID-19 virus.

"Policewomen's Network" Association approached Zenko company from Zenica with a request to support police officers through donation of protective equipment, bearing in mind the contribution and importance of the work performed by the police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina in these difficult times and the employees who, due to the nature of their work, are unable to "stay home" but perform their jobs on a daily basis and are exposed, in addition to the regular risks posed by the police profession, to the risk of contracting a corona virus.

Namely, a number of police agencies in our country have not yet provided sufficient protective equipment for their officers. Bearing in mind that police officers, in the course of their regular tasks, go to the field on a daily basis, controlling, among other things, whether citizens comply with curfew, certain self-isolation measures and other regulations, conduct investigative actions and a number of other activities, in contact with a large number of citizens, it is extremely inappropriate that they do not have sufficient protective equipment secured.

In view of all of the above, as well as the mission of the Association, which for many years has been engaged in protecting the rights of policewomen, improving their position and empowerment, and strengthening the overall capacities of police agencies, we have addressed this company with a request for a donation of certain quantities of reusable protective masks for members of the Association.

Director of the said company Amela Redzic responded to our request, donating 500 pieces of protective masks, which were taken today in Sarajevo, and will be distributed to policewomen across B&H in the coming days.

ZENKO d.o.o. Zenica is one of the leading and highest quality manufacturers of work wear and police uniforms in B&H, based in Zenica. With approximately 90 employees in modernly equipped production facilities, it produces more than 80,000 garments a year, 50% of which is exported to European countries. In order to help citizens protect themselves against the virus coronary pandemic, the company reoriented its production to the production of protective masks.

The donation of protective equipment is a significant help to our members in these difficult times, which will contribute to the protection of the health of policewomen and their families, and of all BH citizens, for which the leadership of the Association expresses its gratitude to director Amela Redžić.
