Round table on the subject "Gender and police in BiH"

A round table on the subject "Gender and Police in BiH" was held in Jahorina on 19 and 20 November, 2020. The round table  was realized within the project "Police and Respect for Human Rights in BiH", funded by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and implemented by the Center for Security Studies, the"Policewomen's Network" Association and the Geneva Center for Security Sector Management (DCAF).

The Round Table presented the best practices of DCAF in the field of promoting gender equality in the security sector, and then the experiences of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia and the Police of the Republic of Slovenia. Also, during the final session, the situation when it comes to gender equality in police institutions in BiH was presented and possible ways to improve the situation in that area were discussed.

This event was attended by top executives from the security sector.
