Representatives of the PWN Association presented their experiences in promoting gender equality to the Police of the Republic of Armenia

In the period from 27 to 29 September 2022. in the Republic of Armenia, a training on "Gender Equality in the Police" was held for leading police officers, in which representatives of the "Policewomen's Network" Association took part.

The training was organized within the framework of the UNDP project, financially supported by the EU, which is aimed at police reform, where one of the components is gender equality, together with human rights.

Bearing in mind the many years of experience of the "Policewomen's Network" Association in terms of organizing and institutional action, representatives of the Association had the opportunity through several sessions to present the importance of gender equality and the role of women in police work, as well as the Association's activities on gender integration in different spheres of police work.

The participants of the training were leading police officers (men and women) from various services of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, and the goal of the training is to raise awareness of gender equality and gender-based discrimination in the police in order to improve the position of women and strengthen the overall capacities of the police structures.
