Development of leadership skills
Policewomen awarded with certificates of participation
Today (August 23, 2019), a two-day workshop on "Leadership Skills Development" was completed. The workshop was attended by around 30 policewomen from law enforcement agencies in B&H, who were awarded with certificates of participation. The workshop was held in Jahorina Montain and it was implemented within the project "Strengthening Capacities of Policewomen – Potential Leaders”", with the support of the US Embassy.

The main goal of this Workshop is raising awareness of gender equality, development of leadership skills and empowering policewomen, which will help them in further professional development and career progress.
The Chairwomen of the Association, Kristina Jozic, in her closing speech, further emphasized the importance of networking of policewomen from different police agencies in B&H, getting to know each other and sharing experiences. She spoke about the importance of mutual respect, support, empowerment and partnership, as well as the use of acquired contacts in further operational work.
The next workshop of this type will be held in September this year, followed by a Roundtable on "Women leders in the security sector" in October, with the aim of empowering policewomen and highlighting the importance and need for increasing the number of women in leadership positions in the police forces.
