Members of the Association attend the training "Empowering Women for Civic Participation and Advancing Social Cohesion in Local Communities" - Module II

13 policewomen, members of the "policewomen's Network" Association , attend the second module of the training of the "Viva Women" UG on the topic: "Empowering women for civic participation and improving social cohesion in local communities", which is held on February 20 and 21, 2020. at the Kardial Hotel in Teslic, under the Joint Regional Program "Dialogue for the Future: Promoting Dialogue and Social Cohesion in, and between, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia", funded by UNDP, UNICEF and UNESCO UN Peacebuilding Fund (UN PBF).


The aim of this training is to improve women's knowledge of civic participation, leadership, initiation and leadership of civic initiatives, promotion of social justice and decision-making in the community, and further develop skills in advocating for women's rights, building interpersonal trust, overcoming prejudices and respecting diversity in society. The project seeks to contribute to gender equality and women's participation in dialogues and decision-making processes and the development of social cohesion.

Topics of the second module are: public policy-making processes in B&H context, leadership, the importance of social intelligence, self-representation, presentation of interests, advocacy of priorities and forms of civic participation.

The aforementioned training will contribute to the empowerment of policewomen, which will help them in their further professional careers and to strengthen the overall capacities of the Association.
