Meeting with the representative of the British Association for Women and Policing (BAWP)

The meeting with representative of the British Association for Women and Policing (BAWP), Michel Lavmour, was held in Sarajevo 5th of July 2019., in Directorate of Federal Police in Sarajevo.

Marina Zovic and Verica Golijanin, policewomen of Directorate of Federal Police and active members of "Policewomen's Network" Association, attended this meeting as well as other policewomen from this police agency who are also members of the Association.

The focus of this meeting was to discuss about activities in the field of gender equality in security sector, and to exchange experiences in this area, with a special focus on empowering policewomen and strengthening their position.

Interest in future cooperation has been expressed in both sides, and the framework of activities on the realization of common goals has been determined, within which the policewomen from UK association (BAWP) would provide expert support to the "Policewomen's Network" Association, that should help in strengthening capacities of the Association.
