Kristina Jozic was unanimously elected president

The ninth Assembly of the "Policewomen's Network" Association was held in Sarajevo today (November 11, 2020). After the presentation of the realized activities during 2019 and the adoption of the annual work report, the Assembly, after the expiration of previous mandates, elected the President and Vice President of the Association, the President of the Assembly, the Board of Directors and the Secretary of the Association. Kristina Jozić (SIPA) was unanimously re-elected president of the Association.

The exceptional results of the management in the previous mandate were highlighted, with special emphasis on a large number of realized trainings for police occicials with a focus on raising awareness about gender equality in police structures in BiH and combating gender-based violence. In the past two years, hundreds of police officials have had the opportunity to attend trainings organized by the Association with the support of international and domestic partners.
Also, a series of events were held aimed at empowering policewomen and strengthening their leadership skills, which will help them in their further professional careers and advancement in the service, as well as the promotion of women in the police through participation in various media reportages.

In addition, special emphasis was placed on educational activities attended by senior officials of police agencies with the aim of raising awareness of gender equality in the security sector and the need to increase the number of women in general, and in management positions in particular.

The President of the Association, Kristina Jozić, emphasized that the Association is recognized as a serious partner to police agencies in the fight against gender-based violence, but also to the overall strengthening of the capacity of police structures. She also pointed out that a large number of new policewomen have joined the membership, and the Association currently brings together more than 450 policewomen from 16 law enforcement agencies. She concluded that the undertaken activities have resulted in significant progress in terms of "gender awareness" in police structures, and that the Association is resolutely continuing to work in this direction.

Future projects and other important issues were also discussed, after which the Assembly adopted conclusions.
