Expert meeting "Women and Security 2023" was held in Sarajevo

On 06.03.2023, the Professional Meeting "Women and Security 2023" was held in the building of the BiH Parliament in Sarajevo. Ivica Bošnjak, Deputy Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dobrica Kucalović, Advisor to the Minister, Samra Filipović Hadžiabdić, Director of the Agency for Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dženana Alađuz, Director of the INFOHOUSE Foundation and Samira Hunček, Chairperson of the Coordinating Committee, spoke in the opening remarks. 

Kristina Jozić, president of the "Policewomen's  Network"Association, as well as Mirsad Ahmić, brigadier general of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmina Omerbegović, major of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ankica Tomić, BiH representative in MARRI, and Samira Hunček, Coordinating Board of the MSBiH took part in the panel "Gender equality in security sector".

The expert meeting was held as part of the "Gender perspective for responsible institutions in the security sector" project. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the INFOHOUSE Foundation with the financial support of the American Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
