KONJIC
Continuation of training in the field of project writing and strategic planning (Module II) - Group II
In the period from 08 to 10 December, 2021, a continuation of the workshop for policewomen on project writing and strategic planning (Module II), Group II, was held in Konjic. The training is realized within the project "Prevention and reduction of the presence of illegal weapons in Bosnia and Herzegovina", implemented by UNDP in cooperation with partners, including the police authorities in BiH and the "Policewomen's Network" Association. It is a continuation of the training that began in October this year, and eventually about 30 police officers will be trained to write projects. Within Module II, with the help of an expert, concrete project proposals will be finalized, which will be presented on the last day of the training.
The specific training on project writing and strategic planning is conducted with the aim of strengthening the capacity of the "Policewomen's Network" Association and thus the overall capacity of police bodies in BiH. In the following period, the continuation of the training will be organized, and finally, with the help of an expert, concrete project proposals will be made.
Within the same project, members of the "Policewomen's Network" Association in the coming period will take part in structured campaigns and field activities across the country aimed at raising public awareness of the dangers of illegal possession of firearms and threats to general security, especially vulnerable groups ( women, children, young men).
The entire project was supported through the UN Multilateral Partnership Fund (MPTF) for the implementation of the Roadmap for the Sustainable Solution of Illegal Possession, Abuse and Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and their ammunition in the Western Balkans. Currently, the following countries are donors of the MPTF: Germany, Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway with the support of the EU.
