Building the capacities of  the Association in the field of fight against hate crimes

Chairwoman of the Association, Kristina Jozic, attended Training of trainers course named “Fight against hate crimes”. The training that was organized by OSCE-ODIHR, took place in Warsaw, Poland, from 3rd to 5th of July 2019.

This training included all the areas of importance for investigation of hate crimes, that are incorporated in Criminal Codes in B&H, with focus on prejudices, differences, impact that hate crimes has on community and the role of police in prevention, investigation and collecting evidences, obstacles in investigation as well as case studies.

Also, within the processed modules, there was much discussion about diversity and the need to respect all human rights, and the professional performance of the police.
Special value of this training is that it was attended by police officers and representatives of different nongovernment organizations from significant number of European countries. This was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences in this area.
