April 8 "International Roma Day" was celebrated in Brčko

Members of the  "Policewomen's Network" Association from the Brčko District Police of BiH, together with representatives of the NGO "Vermont", celebrated April 8th "International Roma Day" in Brčko.

On this occasion, they visited the Day Center for children caught in vagrancy and/or working on the street and for children at risk of becoming homeless.

Together with their colleagues, they presented police equipment and police profession in general, with the aim of strengthening partnership relations with the youngest citizens.

The police officers were joined by the representative of the Roma people in the Assembly of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mejra Šečić. Attention was drawn to the fact that a large part of members of the Roma national minority in our country still live in very difficult conditions, and it is necessary to undertake continuous activities to improve their position.
