A workshop on "Advocacy and women's activism in the security sector" was held in Konjic
The workshop "Advocacy and women's activism in the security sector" was held in Konjic 12 and 13 April 2023, which was attended by policewomen from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is a two-day training intended for coordinators of the "Policewomen's Association, with the goal to improve their knowledge in the field of advocacy and women's activism.
The following areas were covered on the first day of the training: international and domestic standards and policies for women's rights, terminologies and modern approaches (strategies, tools and steps, actors in the advocacy process, specifics of feminist advocacy). The second day is devoted to drawing up individual annual plans of advocacy activities for each police authority. The goal of this training is to improve the advocacy skills of the Association's coordinators and to increase their independent engagement at the level of police authorities in terms of achieving the Association's mission and promoting gender equality.
The workshop was organized within the framework of the project "Strengthening the capacity of the "Policewomen's Network" Association, financially supported through the project Digitization and institutional and regional cooperation, financed by the Multilateral Trust Fund in which the governments of Germany, Sweden, Great Britain, France, Norway and the Netherlands participate with the support of the European Union, and implements the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
