A meeting was held with representatives of the Atlantic Initiative
Kristina Jozić, Chairwomen of the "Policewomen's Network" Association and Vice-Chairwomen Lejla Bejtic, held a meeting today (September 18, 2018) at the "Police House" with representatives of the Atlantic Initiative Majda Halilovic and Nejra Veljan.
The meeting discussed the current activities of both associations and plans for the future, with a special focus on activities in the field of combating gender-based violence. In this context, the focus was on activities in the field of prevention of sexual harassment and discrimination on grounds of gender, both in police structures and in other fields of work.
Representatives of the "Policewomen's Network" Association briefly presented the findings of the research on the topic "Human Rights Defenders in the Police Structures in BiH - Mechanisms for Protection against Discrimination" with special emphasis on recommendations for further action. In this regard, it was discussed about possible modes of cooperation in the following period, since the Atlantic Initiative has been successfully implementing activities in this area for several years.
