A meeting was held with representatives of Hilfswerk International
Today (August 31, 2021), a working meeting was held in East Sarajevo with the representatives of Hilfswerk International, Bicaj Elmedin and Pleh Nadin. On behalf of the "Policewomen's Network" Association, the meeting was attended by the President, Kristina Jozić.
The meeting discussed the organization of events for members of the "Policewomen's Network" Association which will be implemented within the project "Reducing irregular migration in the EU by strengthening the capacity of structures related to migration in the Western Balkans" funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Austria (BMI).
In this regard, it was agreed that within this project, two workshops will be held on the subject "The role of policewomen in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of reducing irregular migration - raising awareness of gender equality and gender based discrimination in police structures of Bosnia and Herzegovina" for a total 70 policewomen. It was agreed that the first term of the mentioned workshop will be realized at the end of September, and the second during November this year.
Also, it was agreed that within the same project, a workshop will be held on the topic "The role of policewomen in the process of reducing irregular migration - procedures for investigating and proving crimes; human trafficking and smuggling people", which will be attended by about 50 police officers. The mentioned workshop will be realized at the beginning of 2022.
During the year, within the same project, an international conference will be organized on the subject "The role of policewomen in the process of reducing irregular migration - capacity building by strengthening women's leadership skills in migration management processes", which will be held in S. Macedonia. In the coming period, all the details regarding the realization of this event will be known.
