The leadership of the "Policewomen's Network" Association has a renewed mandate

On 03/02/2023 the 11th Assembly of the "Policewomen's Network" Association was held in Sarajevo. After the presentation and adoption of the Report for 2022 and the Activity Plan for 2023, the Assembly elected the President and Vice-President of the Association, the President of the Assembly, the Management Board and the Secretary of the Association after the expiration of the previous mandates.

Bearing in mind the previous results of the work and the fact that the Association is at its peak, as well as the announced planned activities in the coming period, the mandates of the president of the Association, Kristina Jozic (DKPT BiH) and vice-president Lejla Bejtić (GP BiH) were renewed.

Also, the mandates of the President of the Assembly Suvada Kuldija (MOI of KS), the Secretary of the Association Marina Zović (FUP), as well as the members of the Board of Directors, which, along with the leadership, consist of Verica Golijanin (FUP), Edina Čolić (MUP HNK) and Mila Ćavar (MUP) ŽZH) were renewed.

It was emphasized that in the last two years, more than 500 employees took part in educations/workshops organized by the Association within the framework of various projects. Different manuals and guidelines were created, awareness raising campaigns were implemented, and the role of women in police work was promoted. Through the realized activities, awareness was significantly raised about gender equality in police structures in BiH, as well as gender-based violence within the ranks of the police, which contributed to the improvement of the position of policewomen, and ultimately to the increase in the efficiency of police structures.

The institutionalization of training on the topic of gender equality, i.e. the establishment of cooperation between the State Police Academy (AEPTM) as a state institution and the MPS Association as a non-governmental organization, as well as approved projects that will be implemented in 2023, was highlighted as a particularly significant activity.

The future projects to achieve the mission and vision of the Association and other important issues were discussed, after which the Assembly made conclusions.
