The 13th Assembly of the "Policewomen's Network" Association was held in Sarajevo

Today (July 17, 2025) the 13th Assembly of the "Policewomen's Network" Association, also an Electoral Assembly, was held in Sarajevo. After the adoption of the Work Report for 2024 and the Work Plan for 2025, elections were held for the bodies of the Association.

After the procedure, Jelena Kovačević (SIPA) was elected as the President of the Association, Olivera Stanišić (GP BiH) as the Vice President, and Lejla Bejtić (GP BiH) as the President of the Assembly. The following members were elected to the Board of Directors: Snežana Galić (MUP USK), Verica Golijanin (FUP) and Kristina Jozić (DKPT BiH), while Jelena Lukić (SIPA) was elected as the Secretary of the Association.

Kristina Jozić, the former president of the Association, addressed the members of the Assembly. On behalf of the previous management, she thanked them for their support over the past six years and the trust they had shown. She emphasized that she was proud to hand over her mandate in a situation when the Association is at its peak, in terms of organization and built infrastructure and everything necessary for successful work, with ongoing live projects. She is proud to be able to say that the Association today has a respectable role and is recognized as a partner to police authorities in BiH in building capacities and strengthening their efficiency, as well as to numerous non-governmental and international organizations. She said that her engagement in the Association required a lot of sacrifices and that it was not always easy to coordinate business obligations and those of the Association, which she certainly would not have succeeded without the full support of the police authority's management, for which she is especially grateful. Finally, she emphasized that she performed this duty with a lot of love and dedication, and that she will continue to be dedicated to the principles of gender equality and non-discrimination in the future.

Kristina Jozić congratulated the new leadership and expressed her belief that they will successfully continue to implement the mission of the Association, indicating that they will be available for any form of support and assistance.

The newly elected president, Jelena Kovačević, thanked for the appointment and emphasized that she will do her utmost to justify the trust placed in her. She believes that if she continues in the same direction, results will not be lacking. She is also pleased that many new members, young colleagues, have joined the Association, whom she believes will take on more and more activities and processes in the Association in the future.

Steps will be taken in the coming period to formally hand over duties.
