"Improving the position of women in the customs sector - IV" Workshop

In the period from 25 to 27 January, 2022, the fourth workshop titled "Improving the position of women in the customs sector" was held in Prijedor, organized by UNDP and UNODC. The conference was organized within the project Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Arms (HALT). 

Having in mind the experience of the "Policewomen's Network" Association in terms of organization and institutional activities, the President of the Association, Kristina Jozić, presented experiences in networking women in the security sector and positive practices in promoting gender equality. Also, the situation regarding gender equality in police structures in BiH was presented, as well as the activities of the Association that have been undertaken in recent years as examples of good practice. The workshop discussed discrimination in the workplace, with a focus on gender-based harassment and sexual harassment, as well as existing protection mechanisms.

This activity aims to strengthen the promotion of gender equality in the BiH Customs Service through a series of activities aimed at the affirmation of women in this sector.
