FUP management supports the work of the Association

A working meeting of the management of the "Policewomen's Network" Association  and the Federal Police Administration was held today (June 17, 2020) in the official premises of the Federal Police Administration, at which the planned activities of the Association for the current and next year were discussed. with a focus on ongoing projects in cooperation with partner domestic and international organizations.

In front of the Federal Police Administartion, the meeting was attended by the acting Director Ensad Corman and Acting Chief of Cabinet Marina Zović, and on behalf of the Association Chairwomen, Kristina Jozić. The meeting was also attended by a representative of the Center for Security Studies, partner organizations, Benjamin Plevljak.

Current and future projects aimed at improving gender equality in police agencies in BiH were discussed, with a focus on increasing the number of women in senior and managerial positions, and the need to educate senior officials on gender equality and gender discrimination. Emphasis was on the fact that persons should be placed in certain positions in accordance with their abilities and competencies, without dividing jobs into "male" and "female".

Certain positive examples of the promotion of women to higher positions in the Federal Police Administration were pointed out, as well as a slight increase in the number of women in general.

V.d. Director Ensad Korman expressed readiness for any kind of future cooperation and support to the activities of the Association, whose ultimate goal is to strengthen the capacity of police structures in BiH to be an efficient service to all citizens.
