Almost one in two women in BiH experienced some form of violence, most often by their partner
Thomson Reuters Foundation published on January 30, 2019 documentary on violence against women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, realized with the support of UNDP.
It is noted that in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the UN data from 2013, almost one in two women is exposed to some type of violence, most often by their partner, and that only 5% of these women seek help.
The documentary film presents the real case of domestic violence and discusses the current situation and problems encountered by victims of violence.
Policewomen Marina Zovic and Suvada Kuldija, active members of the "Policewomen's Network" Association ", spoke to Reuters about the problems of domestic violence, the efforts that police agencies are taking in this field, as well as the role of women in the police and the daily struggle for equality.
