A meeting was held with the leadership of the DKPT BiH

A working meeting of the management of the "Policewomen's Network" Association and Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH was held today (June 17, 2020) in the official premises of the Directorate, at which the planned activities of the Association for the current and next year were discussed, with a focus on the implementation of certain projects in cooperation with partner domestic and international organizations.


On behalf of the Directorate, the meeting was attended by Deputy Director Ranko Vukovic, Head of Department, also Deputy Chairman of the Board for Complaints of Police Officers, Ljuban Glavocevic and coordinator of the Association for Directorate, Sanela Mutapcic, and on behalf of the Association Chairwomen, Kristina Jozic. The meeting was also attended by a representative of the Center for Security Studies, partner organization, Benjamin Plevljak.

The meeting presented current and future projects aimed at improving gender equality in police agencies in BiH with a focus on increasing the number of women in police structures in general, and especially in senior and managerial positions, and the need for training of senior officials on gender equality and gender based discrimination.

Also, current problems and the need to change certain legal solutions was discussed, which will contribute to gender equality in police structures in BiH and protection of the integrity of policewomen.

The leadership of the Directorate expressed readiness for any kind of future cooperation and support for the activities of the Association, whose ultimate goal is to strengthen the capacity of police structures in BiH to be an efficient service to all citizens.
